SureNexus featured at UNESCO’s IHP50 celebrations in Paris
The SureNexus project was prominently represented at the 50th anniversary conference of the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme (IHP) held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, from June 10 to 13, 2025. Among the distinguished speakers and participants was Dr. Rachid Mrabet from the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRA), Morocco, a key partner in the SureNexus consortium.
Dr. Mrabet contributed to the session titled “Harnessing AI for WEFE Nexus Assessment: Innovating Water Management and Governance at the Urban Scale”, which took place on June 13 as part of the thematic area on WEFE Nexus approaches and governance and financing innovations for water infrastructure. His intervention emphasized the role of science-based cooperation in addressing water challenges through the WEFE Nexus lens, while also highlighting the importance of hydrodiplomacy.
SureNexus’ presence at this high-level event reaffirms the project’s commitment to advancing resilient, integrated resource management solutions in the Mediterranean and beyond.
