SureNexus at the Cork in Science and Applications Conference (7-8 September 2023, Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal)

 

On 7-8 September 2023, SureNexus was present at the Cork in Science and Applications Conference in Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal.

The project consortium was represented by partner ICSuro, the Catalan Cork Institute Foundation. The aims of ICSuro are to stimulate the sector development and knowledge, contribute to the research, define and present action proposals to the relevant organizations and present other actions to be done, encourage and promote the #Catalan #Cork Sector.

ICSuro participates in all the SureNexus work packages, sharing its experience in Nature-based Solutions and bioeconomy practices carried out in cork. Cork is the outer bark of the cork oak and is a natural, renewable, and highly versatile product. ICSuro was represented at the Cork in Science Conference by Dr. Patricia Jové and Maria Verdum, both from the Research and Development Department of ICSuro.

Cork in Science and its applications (CSA) is a biannual conference aimed at collecting and sharing the latest studies made with cork in all its fields of application between different universities around the world and the main cork companies. During the Conference, ICSuro presented four studies and carried out dissemination activities for the SureNexus project.
